
According to a press release, Lenovo is going to launch the ThinkPad X301 13.3-inch ultra-portable laptop on August 26.
The Lenovo Thinkpad X301, which is a successor of the X300 laptop, starts at less than three pounds and is one-inch thin. According to Lenovo, the ThinkPad X301 to provide on average nearly 20 percent better performance over the ThinkPad X300 notebook due to the latest DDR3 memory and the latest Intel Core 2 Duo ultra low volt processor.
The Lenovo Thinkpad X301 will be available with the upcoming Intel Core 2 Duo ULV U9300 (1.2GHz) and U9400 (1.4GHz) processors. Both processors have 6MB of L2 cache and a 1066MHz front side bus.
Those system supports up to 2GB of RAM, and will ship with up to 128GB of solid-state drive storage (available in September), a display with LED backlight, and built-in optical drive. Other features include mobile broadband, WiFi, GPS, UltraWide Band, and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as Display Port and VGA outputs.
The Lenovo ThinkPad X301 laptop will start at $2,599.
