ASUSTeK Computer Inc., who are better known as ASUS are launching its own version of the Google Android smart phone and should be available in the cell phone market in the first half of 2009. If DoubleDT.Com’s prediction is correct, then ASUS will first company who sell the Google Android smart phone under its own brand “ASUS” in the Taiwan market.

ASUS is a Taiwan-based multinational company that produce graphics cards, motherboards, optical drives, notebook computers, PDAs, servers, networking products, computer cases, computer components, computer cooling systems, and mobile phones

If the Google Android smart phone proves successful there (red. Taiwan market), then ASUS will launch another customized models of the Google Android smart phone for the rest of the world. Recently, DoubleDT.Com does not have more details to go on, but it is awesome to know that a computer-peripheral maker will build and launch a Google Android-based smart phone.

Perhaps, if cell phone users have the choice of any company producing a Google Android phone, then what would they choose? At this moment, maybe it is time for Microsoft to get into the cell phone market; I am not surprise if someday, Microsoft can take the fight to the Apple iPhone and or the Google Android-based phones.
